Sawyer Brown, Phil Vassar, Blake Shelton and Diamond Rio headlined the sequel to Nebraska's biggest country music festival, the Comstock Windmill Festival.  Billed as the Comstock Harvest Festival, the event continued its tradition of multiple national acts over the two-day period of Sept 22nd & 23rd. Headlining Saturday was Diamond Rio, whose "One More Day" topped Billboard and charted for many weeks.    A new-comer, Blake Shelton performed his smash hit "Austin" rated number one in the country. The Son's of the Desert coming off their song of the year "I hope you'll dance", highlighted singles off their newly released album. Also appearing was the pride of Omaha, Nashville recording artist Jolie and the Wanted, well known for her song "Boom" and her generosity towards St. Jude's Hospital.   Arcadia, Nebraska's native Tim Holcomb fresh off signing a record deal opened on Saturday.

Sawyer Brown, possibly the best live show in America, was featured on Sunday. Many songs such as "All these Years,” “Some Girls Do”, and “Looking For Love" have charted very well.  The high energy show lead by Mark Miller is matched by none. Phil Vassar's Number one hit, "Just Another Day in Paradise" plus “Carlene,” “Rose Bouquet,” and current sky rocketing "Six- Pack Summer" opened for Sawyer. Phil is also known for his song writing of many country hits for Allan Jackson, Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina.  The charming Chalee Tennison with her number one song "Go Back" was joined by the dynamic Dustin Bogue, and Catch 22 from Colorado. Dustin is noted for his contributions toward the Make-a-wish foundations. The beer tent featured live entertainment from Heartland Renegade and the Green River Band.

We  also added a Bull Riding Rodeo; White Buffalo Productions, Bull Riders of America Producers of the year, out of Winterset, Iowa ran the event while the notorious bucking bulls were shipped in from the Shad Smith stock of Sydney, IA. Pageantry, music, smoke and fireworks with the best bulls and bull riders made this an exciting part of the Comstock Harvest Event.

Fine food and beverages, a mechanical bucking bull, crafts, and other events filled the two days of entertainment. The 2nd Wind Ranch is well known for its natural amphitheater, the largest in NE, where two time performer Brad Paisley was quoted as saying, "This is what country music is all about."
